verse 1

Mudākarātta-modakaṃ sadā vimukti-sādhakaṃ kalādhara-avataṃsakaṃ vilāsi-loka-rakṣakam

He who joyfully holds the modaka in his hand, who ever grants liberation, who wears the crescent moon as his crest-jewel, protector of the shining worlds,

Anāyakaika-nāyakaṃ vināśita-ibha-daityakaṃ natāśubhāśu-nāśakaṃ namāmi taṃ vināyakam

the one leader of the leaderless, destroyer of the elephant-demon, swift remover of the misfortunes of those who bow to him: I salute that Vinayaka.

verse 2

Natetarāti-bhīkaraṃ navoditārka-bhāsvaraṃ namat-surāri-nirjaraṃ natādhikāpad-uddharam

Terrifying to the foes of those who do not bow, radiant as the newly risen sun, before whom both gods and their enemies bow, who lifts away the gravest calamities of his devotees,

Sureśvaraṃ nidhīśvaraṃ gajeśvaraṃ gaṇeśvaraṃ maheśvaraṃ tam āśraye parātparaṃ nirantaram

lord of the gods, lord of treasures, lord of elephants, lord of the ganas, the great lord: in him, higher than the highest, I take refuge without ceasing.

verse 3

Samastaloka-śaṃkaraṃ nirasta-daitya-kuñjaraṃ daretarodaraṃ varaṃ varebha-vaktram akṣaram

Bringer of good to all the worlds, who cast out the elephant among demons, whose belly is anything but small, the excellent one, bearing the face of the noble elephant, imperishable,

Kṛpākaraṃ kṣamākaraṃ mudākaraṃ yaśaskaraṃ manaskaraṃ namaskṛtāṃ namaskaromi bhāsvaram

the giver of compassion, of forbearance, of joy, of renown, and of strength of mind to those who bow to him: to that radiant one I bow.

verse 4

Akiṃcanārti-mārjanaṃ cirantanokti-bhājanaṃ purāri-pūrva-nandanaṃ surāri-garva-carvaṇam

He who wipes away the distress of the destitute, who is the subject of the ancient scriptures, the elder son of Purari (Shiva, foe of the three cities), who chews away the pride of the enemies of the gods,

Prapañca-nāśa-bhīṣaṇaṃ dhanañjayādi-bhūṣaṇam kapola-dāna-vāraṇaṃ bhaje purāṇa-vāraṇam

awesome at the dissolution of the world, adorned with Dhananjaya and the other serpents, the elephant whose cheeks stream with ichor: I worship that ancient elephant-lord.

verse 5

Nitānta-kānta-danta-kānti-manta-kānta-kātmajaṃ acintya-rūpam antahīnam antarāya-kṛntanam

Radiant with the exceeding beauty of his tusk, the son of him who ended Death itself, of inconceivable form, without end, the cutter-down of obstacles,

Hṛdantare nirantaraṃ vasantam eva yogināṃ tam ekadantam eva taṃ vicintayāmi santatam

who dwells unceasingly within the hearts of yogis: upon that one-tusked one alone I meditate without pause.

phalashruti

Mahāgaṇeśa-pañcaratnam ādarena yo'nvahaṃ prajalpatī prabhātake hṛdi smaran gaṇeśvaram

Whoever recites this Mahaganesha Pancharatnam with reverence each day at dawn, remembering Ganeshvara in the heart,

Arogatāṃ adoṣatāṃ susāhitīṃ suputratāṃ samāhitāyur aṣṭabhūtim abhyupaiti so'cirāt

soon attains freedom from disease, freedom from fault, mastery of learning, worthy children, a full span of life, and the eightfold prosperity.
