verse 1
श्री रामचन्द्र कृपालु भजुमन हरण भवभय दारुणं।
Śrī Rāmacandra kṛpālu bhaju mana haraṇa bhavabhaya dāruṇaṃ
O mind, worship the compassionate Shri Ramachandra, who removes the dreadful fear of worldly existence,
नव कंज लोचन कंज मुख कर कंज पद कंजारुणं॥1॥
Nava kañja locana kañja mukha kara kañja pada kañjāruṇaṃ
whose eyes are like fresh lotuses, whose face is like a lotus, whose hands and feet are like reddish lotuses.
verse 2
कन्दर्प अगणित अमित छवि नव नील नीरद सुन्दरं।
Kandarpagaṇita amita chavi nava nīla nīrada sundaraṃ
Of beauty beyond count, surpassing countless Kamadevas (gods of love), beautiful as a fresh, dark rain-cloud,
पटपीत मानहुँ तडित रुचि शुचि नोमि जनक सुतावरं॥2॥
Paṭa-pīta mānahum taḍita ruci śuci nomi janaka-sutāvaraṃ
wearing a yellow garment as radiant as lightning -- pure one, I bow to the beloved husband of Janaka's daughter (Sita).
verse 3
भजु दीनबन्धु दिनेश दानव दैत्य वंश निकन्दनं।
Bhaju dīnabandhu dineśa dānava daitya vaṃśa nikandanaṃ
Worship the friend of the humble, radiant as the sun, destroyer of the lineage of demons and titans,
रघुनन्द आनन्द कन्द कोशल चन्द दशरथ नन्दनं॥3॥
Raghunandam ānandam kandam Kośala candam Daśaratha nandanaṃ
joy of the Raghu dynasty, root of bliss, moon of Kosala, beloved son of Dasharatha.
verse 4
शिर मुकुट कुंडल तिलक चारु उदारु अङ्ग विभूषणं।
Śira mukuṭa kuṃḍala tilaka cāru udāru aṅga vibhūṣaṇaṃ
Wearing a crown on his head, earrings and a beautiful forehead mark, his generous limbs adorned with ornaments,
आजानु भुज शर चाप धर संग्राम जित खरदूषणं॥4॥
Ājānu bhuja śara cāpa dhara saṃgrāma jita kharadūṣaṇaṃ
His arms reaching down to His knees, bearing bow and arrow, who conquered Khara and Dushana in battle.
verse 5
इति वदति तुलसीदास शंकर शेष मुनि मन रंजनं।
Iti vadati Tulsīdāsa Śaṃkara śeṣa muni mana rañjanaṃ
Thus speaks Tulsidas: O You who delight the minds of Shankara, Shesha, and the sages,
मम् हृदय कंज निवास कुरु कामादि खलदल गंजनं॥5॥
Mam hṛdaya kañja nivāsa kuru kāmādi khala-dala gañjanaṃ
make Your dwelling in the lotus of my heart, O destroyer of the wicked hosts of desire and the like.
verse 6
मन जाहि राच्यो मिलहि सो वर सहज सुन्दर सांवरो।
Mana jāhi rācyo milahi so vara sahaja sundara sāṃvaro
The bridegroom on whom your heart is set will be yours -- naturally handsome, dark-complexioned,
करुणा निधान सुजान शील स्नेह जानत रावरो॥6॥
Karuṇā nidhāna sujāna śīla sneha jānata rāvaro
an ocean of compassion, wise, virtuous, and He already knows the love in your heart.
verse 7
एहि भांति गौरी असीस सुन सिय सहित हिय हरषित अली।
Ehi bhāṃti Gaurī asīsa suna siya sahita hiya haraṣita alī
Hearing this blessing of Gauri in this way, Sita and her companions rejoiced in their hearts,
तुलसी भवानिहि पूजी पुनि-पुनि मुदित मन मन्दिर चली॥7॥
Tulsī Bhavānihi pūjī puni-puni mudita mana mandira calī
says Tulsidas: having worshipped Bhavani again and again with a joyful mind, she returned to the temple.

जानी गौरी अनुकूल सिय हिय हरषु न जाइ कहि।
Jānī Gaurī anukūla siya hiya haraṣu na jāi kahi
Knowing Gauri favourable to her, the joy in Sita's heart could not be described,
मंजुल मंगल मूल वाम अङ्ग फरकन लगे।
Maṃjula maṃgala mūla vāma aṃga pharakana lage
the roots of lovely auspiciousness, her left limbs began to throb (as an auspicious omen).
